Information on Insurance that Covers Compression Stockings
Hi Mary,
I couldn't find any resources that list which insurance companies do and don't cover compression stockings. I contacted the largest company that sells compression stockings online -- ForYourLegs.com -- thinking that they would have some experience dealing with a range of insurance companies. I received this reply:
Medicare unfortunately does not cover compression stockings. Private insurance is hit or miss. No insurance covers compressions lighter than 20-30mmHg. Your reader should contact their particular insurance company to check benefits. If readers have any other questions, or would like additional insight, they can contact ForYourLegs directly at 877-846-4600. We'd be happy to help.
Hope that helps, Mary.
